Yamaha 2026 R7

Born from Yamaha’s game-changing R-Series, the Yamaha 2026 R7 brings race-inspired technology to everyday riders. Designed for balance, agility, and excitement, it blends Supersport performance with real-world versatility.

Born from Yamaha’s R-Series Legacy

The R7 carries the DNA of Yamaha’s iconic R1 and R6, reshaped for the next generation. Its compact design, advanced electronics, and sleek aerodynamics deliver an authentic R-Series experience—refined, powerful, and accessible.

Powerful 689cc CP2 Engine for Pure Excitement

At the heart of the R7 is Yamaha’s 689cc CP2 twin-cylinder engine, producing 73.4 PS at 8,750 rpm. With its 270° crank and Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T), it delivers smooth, linear torque and a thrilling exhaust note. Every twist of the throttle offers instant response—ideal for both road and track.

Advanced 6-Axis IMU and Rider Aids

Borrowed directly from the R1, the new 6-axis IMU continuously monitors lean angles, acceleration, and braking forces. It powers intelligent systems like Traction Control, Slide Control, and Brake Control, ensuring you stay in command at every turn.

Customisable Yamaha Ride Control (YRC)

The Yamaha Ride Control system features three factory modes—Sport, Street, and Rain—plus two user-defined setups. Through the MyRide app, you can fine-tune throttle response and electronic support to match your style, weather, or terrain.

Refined Chassis and Lightweight Agility

Yamaha engineers reworked the R7’s frame for optimal stiffness and feedback. The 41mm fully adjustable KYB forks and new aluminium piston rods sharpen response, while SpinForged wheels and Bridgestone Battlax S23 tyres reduce weight and boost grip.

Enhanced Comfort and Ergonomics

With a lower 830mm seat height, reshaped fuel tank, and revised handlebar position, the R7 offers a natural riding stance. Whether you’re carving corners or cruising home, comfort and control remain top priority.

Connected 5-Inch TFT Display

A 5-inch full-colour TFT screen keeps key info clear with multiple display themes. Smartphone connectivity via Yamaha MyRide enables calls, messages, and turn-by-turn navigation, while Track Mode adds lap timing for circuit sessions.

Y-TRAC Rev – Ride Like a Racer

The optional Y-TRAC Rev app turns every ride into a data-driven experience. Review lean angles, lap times, and GPS traces—just like a professional racer.

Aerodynamic Design and Racing Heritage

The redesigned bodywork and slimmer fairing improve airflow and cooling. Celebrating 70 years of Yamaha Racing, the stunning anniversary white-and-red livery brings timeless style to this modern Supersport.

Why Choose the 2026 Yamaha R7?

Lightweight, intelligent, and thrilling to ride—the 2026 Yamaha R7 embodies Yamaha’s racing spirit. It’s built for riders who crave performance, precision, and everyday excitement.

Why choose Yamaha Motorcycles?

Yamaha Motor Company began in 1955, emerging from its roots in musical instruments to become a force in engineering and innovation. Led by Genichi Kawakami, Yamaha released its first motorcycle—the YA-1, a 125cc two-stroke. It made an immediate impact, winning its class at the Mount Fuji Ascent Race. That victory set the tone for Yamaha’s bold entrance into motorsports. Today, the company is headquartered in Iwata, Japan, and operates worldwide. Yamaha designs and manufactures motorcycles, marine products, and various motorized vehicles. Its legacy blends cutting-edge design with a relentless drive for performance—on roads, tracks, and open waters.
