Smarter, Stronger, Sharper: The New 2026 Ténéré 700 World Raid is Here

For riders who crave the unknown, who see every horizon as an invitation, Yamaha’s most capable adventure machine has just entered a bold new era. The 2026 Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid has been unveiled — and it’s now available to pre-order from Central Bikes.

Blending Dakar-bred endurance with modern innovation, the new Ténéré 700 World Raid pushes the limits of what a middleweight adventure motorcycle can do. It brings together rugged durability, refined performance, and cutting-edge technology to create the ultimate companion for those who truly want to go further.

Power with Precision

At the heart of the Ténéré 700 World Raid lies Yamaha’s trusted 689cc CP2 twin engine — a powerplant known worldwide for its reliability, versatility, and distinctive character. For 2026, the engine has been refined to meet the latest Euro5+ standards, while a redesigned air intake delivers an even smoother, more responsive feel at low RPMs. The result is a stronger pick-up at slower speeds — perfect for tackling challenging off-road terrain or managing steep climbs.

For the first time, Yamaha introduces Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) to the Ténéré range. This ride-by-wire system provides ultra-precise throttle response and introduces two selectable power modes. Sport Mode offers dynamic acceleration for spirited road riding, while Explorer Mode delivers a smoother, more measured power curve, ideal for wet or technical off-road conditions. Riders can switch between modes on the go, adapting instantly to changes in terrain or weather.

To further enhance control, the 2026 Ténéré 700 World Raid is equipped with a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) — the same advanced technology used in Yamaha’s high-performance sport models. Working in harmony with lean-sensitive traction control, slide control, and cornering ABS, this system gives riders unparalleled stability and confidence, no matter where the trail leads.

Engineered for Endless Horizons

Long-distance adventure is in the Ténéré’s DNA, and the 2026 World Raid takes endurance to new heights. Its dual side-mounted aluminium fuel tanks hold 23 litres — enough for around 500 kilometres of range — while weighing 1.5kg less than before. The reshaped tanks also improve weight distribution and ergonomics, allowing smoother transitions between sitting and standing positions during technical riding.

A new one-piece rally-style seat offers a flatter profile and improved comfort, making it easy to shift body position on rough terrain. For highway cruising, the addition of cruise control and a speed limiter helps reduce fatigue on long journeys, while a taller windscreen and new side deflectors improve wind protection for all-weather comfort.

Every detail has been designed with distance in mind. From the wide, removable rubber footpegs that balance comfort and grip, to the improved clutch design that offers greater legroom and control, the World Raid is built to carry you across continents with ease.

Suspension and Handling Without Compromise

When the road disappears, the Ténéré 700 World Raid’s upgraded suspension truly shines. Yamaha has equipped the 2026 model with fully adjustable KYB suspension, featuring 46mm forks with Kashima coating for reduced friction and longer-lasting performance. These new forks offer enhanced rigidity and damping, giving the bike greater precision and comfort whether you’re gliding over tarmac or powering through rock-strewn trails.

At the rear, a redesigned KYB Monocross shock delivers smoother, more progressive suspension travel, while the overall geometry has been tuned for improved stability at speed. The 16-step adjustable steering damper provides customisable feedback, letting riders fine-tune handling for everything from fast gravel roads to tight single-track trails.

With 230mm of front travel and 220mm at the rear, and 255mm of ground clearance, the Ténéré 700 World Raid remains ready to tackle the most demanding conditions with confidence.

Technology for the Modern Explorer

The 2026 Ténéré 700 World Raid introduces a completely new cockpit experience. At its centre is a 6.3-inch full-colour TFT display, mounted vertically for clear visibility both on and off-road. Riders can choose between three display themes — Street, Explorer, and Raid — each tailored to different riding scenarios.

Connectivity is now built in through Yamaha’s MyRide app, which links your smartphone to the bike via Bluetooth. Once paired, you can view calls, messages, and emails directly on the display, and even access Google-powered turn-by-turn navigation for seamless route guidance.

The redesigned handlebar switches, intuitive joystick controls, and conveniently positioned USB-C port make the system easy to use on the go. At night, the new rectangular LED headlight assembly enhances visibility with a sharp, modern look that perfectly complements the World Raid’s rally-inspired silhouette.

Style and Presence

Yamaha has refined the design of the Ténéré 700 World Raid without losing its distinctive, purposeful character. The new one-piece seat, sculpted tank design, and sturdy side panels create a more unified, rally-ready appearance. It’s a motorcycle that looks every bit as capable as it feels.

Available in two striking colours — Redline White and Midnight Black — the 2026 World Raid projects confidence, strength, and a sense of unstoppable adventure. PRE-ORDER for APRIL 2026.
