Yamaha Unveils All-New RW700, RW700 Explore & RW350 Adventure Scooters at EICMA 2026

Yamaha has taken adventure scooters to a whole new level at EICMA 2026, unveiling three exciting new models for 2027: the RW700, RW700 Explore and RW350.
3 November 2026

Combining the practicality of a scooter with the performance, technology and versatility of an adventure motorcycle, Yamaha’s all-new RW range is designed for riders who want more freedom from every journey.

Whether it’s navigating busy city streets, enjoying winding country roads or exploring beyond the tarmac, these new adventure scooters promise to bring something different to the world of two wheels.

Here at Central Bikes, we’re excited to take a closer look at what makes Yamaha’s latest arrivals so special.

Yamaha RW700 – Adventure Without Compromise

The all-new Yamaha RW700 is a bold addition to Yamaha’s scooter line-up, blurring the boundaries between a traditional scooter and an adventure motorcycle.

At its heart is Yamaha’s proven 689cc CP2 twin-cylinder engine, producing 69.3 PS and 65 Nm of torque. This is paired with Yamaha’s innovative six-speed Automated Manual Transmission (Y-AMT), offering the convenience of automatic gear changes with the option to shift manually using handlebar-mounted controls.

Unlike conventional scooters, the RW700 has been developed with genuine adventure capability in mind.

Long-travel suspension, rugged Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres and a versatile riding position allow riders to tackle a variety of surfaces with confidence.

Yamaha has also equipped the RW700 with an advanced six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), supporting electronic rider aids including traction control, slide control and brake control.

Selectable Yamaha Ride Control (YRC) modes allow riders to adapt the scooter’s characteristics to different conditions, whether commuting through town or venturing onto gravel tracks.

RW700 Key Features

  • 689cc CP2 twin-cylinder engine producing 69.3 PS
  • Six-speed Yamaha Automated Manual Transmission (Y-AMT)

  • Yamaha Ride Control modes for road and gravel riding
  • Long-travel adventure suspension
  • Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres
  • Versatile riding position with adjustable footpegs
  • Five-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity

The RW700 is an exciting option for riders who want the ease of a scooter without giving up the performance and sense of adventure associated with a motorcycle.

Yamaha RW700 Explore – Built to Go Further

For riders who want additional comfort and premium equipment, Yamaha has introduced the RW700 Explore.

Sharing the same 689cc CP2 engine, Y-AMT transmission and advanced electronic technology as the standard RW700, the Explore takes the adventure concept a step further.

One of the biggest differences is its touring-focused equipment.

Heated grips and a heated rider’s seat provide welcome comfort when riding in colder weather, making the RW700 Explore particularly appealing for year-round UK riding.

The Explore also benefits from adjustable front suspension, allowing riders to fine-tune their setup to suit different roads, terrain and riding preferences.

Additional features include a centre stand and backlit switchgear, adding everyday convenience to an already impressive package.

Yamaha RW350 – Everyday Freedom with Adventure DNA

Completing Yamaha’s new adventure scooter family is the RW350, a versatile mid-capacity model that brings adventure-inspired styling and technology to everyday riding.

Powered by an all-new 330cc-class single-cylinder engine, the RW350 has been designed to offer responsive performance, agile handling and impressive practicality.

One of its standout innovations is Yamaha Dynamic Ride, a new engine and chassis layout developed to improve stability, handling and rider comfort.

The RW350 also features three selectable Yamaha Ride Control modes – STREET, EXPLORE and ECO – allowing riders to adjust the scooter’s performance characteristics depending on their journey.

While the RW350 has a rugged, adventurous personality, it’s equally focused on making daily life easier.

Cruise control comes as standard, while a Smart Key system, spacious illuminated underseat storage and a five-inch colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity make it a practical choice for commuting.

The RW350 also offers connected navigation through the Garmin StreetCross app, making it easier to discover new routes.
